Mere Jaisa Koi..............Chatty Version 2

I saw this post on Uma's blog here http://mymaidenattempt.blogspot.com/2012/02/if-i-went-under-xerox-copier.html and thought it would be fun to do.........something light-hearted and fanciful as against the almost grim and realistic posts I write.

Hmm, so let's see now,  there is the OMe (original me) and DMe (the duplicate me). DMe is a complete opposite of me, she just looks like me, but does not think, act or even behave like me. So beware, here's a strong dose of DMe.

1. You notice the DMe, you can't miss her, she has this presence. She gets things done, tells you what she has done in case you did not notice and accepts credit due to her. She means no when she says no and yes when she says yes, no ambiguities there.

2. She will get the kids up and brushed and ready and fed without much to-do and even dares drop them to school in the husband's car while he is sleeping undisturbed. This after doing her daily half hour of yoga!

3. She is the queen (read boss) of her house and with her one meal feeds all policy she flies around in the kitchen, standing up to her decision. Unlike OMe who would timidly dish out food based on individual  family member's personal likes/dislikes and end up eating whatever was not finished. She makes all decisions and acts on them w/out dithering or waiting for hubby's nod of approval.

4. DMe stands up to the hubby too and has even convinced him that he needs to get her the car before her license expires. Either he does or he doesn't, no point beating around the bush on this one.

5. DMe fits in a lot of me time. She goes shopping for her needs, no compromises on brands either. She visits the cafes/shops, library, doesn't hesitate to practices French, reads, blogs more often,  sticks to swimming commitment and is just so well put-together. Even the hubby has noiced the new change in his normally sloppy wife!

6. Kids are happy with the DMe who is happy to be with them 100% and not mentally pursuing various unfulfilled dreams and fantasies.

7. DMe will invite home all the people she knows, introduce them to each other and treat them to her experimental cooking. She makes small talk without making it sound polite or contrived. She's a natural.

8. DMe has an opinion and is no afraid of speaking it. She is irreverent at times and her conscience does not bother her a great deal so long as she lives by the value - do what makes you truly happy.

9. And lastly, the DMe cares two figs about others or what they think!! She is just 100 per cent in her world, content with what she does and suffers from no "what if" or "why does" or "will it" pangs!

Having written this, I realise this is actually my alter ego and perhaps in a Doppelganger scenario, would do me a great deal of good if it decides to stay a while.
