Cross-Postings

Sharing some interesting readings I have come across recently.

This one resonates the most with me for the moment. Celebrating endings and having a final closure, the role of social media in flattening  friendships and loosening the hierarchies of relating within the society. Read here.

A genuinely heart-warming story of a boy who was intelligent but reading challenged and his struggles to come to terms with it. Read this inspiring story on Roshni's blog. This when dyslexia was not very widely known and understood in India.

For those working with Multiple Sclerosis or in contact with those suffering from MS, there is hope. Myelin is the component that degenerates during this illness and simply put, disrupts signals between brain and other parts of  the body. Dietary precautions for improving myelin content in the body is an important precaution. Neha Waikar, who has experience this first-hand with her mother has come out with a diet book for people suffering from MS. Details  here. Please do spread the word around.

And what makes good writing? How to communicate powerfully with short sentences. I am perpetually struggling to put all that i think, feel and perceive into a well crafted, easily read and appreciated form. Here are some genuine pearls of wisdom. Honestly, I would never be able to write so well.

Happy reading.
