Rip Van Winkle

Everytime I manage to log into blogger, I see a big gap between my postings and this troubles me. Now, I take this as a serious sign to an ADD way of living, a total lack of discipline to the habit of blogging. I am so easy on myself, I am a person who needs strong enforcements of deadlines to get things done. Only when my back is to the wall, do I act. A lot of times, my sense of getting things done seems to be dictated by external factors like demands of a job, or needs of baby, or husband. Left to myself, my sense of time and everything else can be very very fuzzy.

I sit on the Internet and I can merrily hop from one blog to another and soon, its panic time!! There is a whiny toddler, a messy home, no food preparations made and husband is due any time. I feel like a big loser then, for not having spent enough time with G, making some no-trouble basic food, basically at having a not very productive day.

Now, I confess to reading a lot of mommy blogs, and maybe one of the best ways to get some readership is to delurk in the ones i do read regularly. That apart, these are women who multi-task and how. I have no excuses then, when I can learn so much from this community!!!

In fact, my stay here in Belgium seems to resemble the life of Rip Van Winkle. When I return to a more dynamic life which has more demands on me (work, friends, neighbours, relatives), I hope my extra-laidback approach does not make me more of a misfit than I tend to be.
