Mondays and last week blues...
Oh, what a week it's been, only my chocolate stash has helped me through, honestly. And I'm almost through it. Abandoned the gym and the diet in its wake. Ok, to be honest, I wasted my Monday, did not use it very effectively for a project I am working on. The next two days I was ill, couldn't even think straight. And Thursday, Friday, my elder one was down with a viral infection doing the rounds. Weekends I never get around to doing anything constructively I feel.
Picture this, both the husband and me are sitting on our comps. He, well, has been sitting there ever since he's got up. I've finished other work around the house and think to myself, maybe now I could start with that writing, but one or other of the kids wants something, even if it is to tie a knot or some fruit, something small like that, and guess what, it is the Invisible Daddy Syndrome. They walk past him, as if there is no solid state matter in the form of their father and come to ME! But the one who gets the giant share of weekend cuddles and kisses is him, not fair, huh!
So, that was that, this post is a reminder to me to squeeze more constructive and productive time in the hours available to me when the kids are at school. Maybe multitask, as I am writing my mind is frantically putting forth suggestions on what to make for lunch (images only) and then deleting any suggestion which will take up a long time to make. Not bad, eh!
So there, now that I've crawled out from my rock and said hello, to anyone who cares to wave back, I've got to go. Tot straaks, until later!

Hey hope you are feeling better..
ReplyDeleteZini too has this invisible daddy syndrome :(
So how is work going on?
Thanks ZM doing well now! Yes, got back to it, taking stock:)
DeleteIts not easy when kids make it difficult for us to say no and there's no one we can look to for help! Hang in there, I'm sure you'll get to your project - Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, MWaD, I was somehow in time this time.
DeleteSo you have started content writing :) good for you. I am waving back and waiting for more updates :)
ReplyDeleteIn a teeny-weeny way Jas, but I need a crash course in time-management, and what's with the pay, it sucks. I might as well work for creative satisfaction and charity. Couple of projects have been only for portfolio building and hence worked gratis. Now tackling my ironing pile with a vengeance.
