Splashes of colour.......
In an otherwise subdued scenario. It's a strange weather we have for the last few days. The sun plays hide and seek and the sky has been taken over by grey clouds and winds. It's neither cold nor warm. One oscillates between the two states of being, based on one's preference and state of mind. Thanda-garm! I brew a cup of tea almost unthinkingly and regretted it when I had to add a spoonful of sugar. I am again doing nothing much towards looking after my energy and exercise levels. The swim and jog sessions have been few and far between. Occasional Laura London workouts are done. She is a tough taskmaster and I never do it twice, forget 3 times.
When you are cheating on what you ought to be doing, it does not leave you feeling great. That's how its with me. So, when my friend S called me to accompany her to Botanica, I agreed immediately. First to avoid incorporating all the above in my highly flexible existence and then further to assuage my feel-bad by soaking in some colour therapy. Botanica is a green-house cum gardening shop. Spent a good 2 hours there admiring the flowers and plants, indoors and outdoors variety, garden tools and some quirky things like a hedgehog shaped shoe-brush to scrape out mud from your muddy shoes! (would've made an interesting photo)
Now I am not sure I have a very green thumb as my earlier attempts at growing methi/coriander in my balcony have yielded sub-optimal results. Got home with some mini verbena, geranium and dahlia. That's all. The kitchen garden idea is not yet abandoned, will follow it up as a learning experience for the two Gs this summer (only where is it?). They are enthused with the idea of gardening as Peppa Pig does it effortlessly and successfully. We are an inspired lot:)
Leaving you with some pics, a collage actually courtesy Photo Collage. Hmm, yellows, oranges and whites seem to be conspicuously missing. Those black and green huge pots with multiple openings you see are for strawberry runners, in case you didn't already know.
