This week - snowed under
The kids have a day off today as the teachers have a training day. So we have a long weekend in store. We still have a snowy vista thanks to the snowfall from Sunday and I have had enough of the snow and cold for a lifetime I say.
Wednesday evening we had extra practice to attend for Big G's ballet performance. Since the husband was travelling, lil G had to be taken along. I was wondering what we would do for 2 loong hours. I did take her to the library but she just believes in picking up books and piling them near me and will not sit for 2 minutes to listen to a story!! We met a classmate of hers who had picked up a Hopla story book and lil G too wanted a similar book. A short shrill tantrum followed. I was only too happy to see some bunny book and pointed that out to her. Only to hear, "This is not Hopla, it is Nijntje, you not know anything, Mama". After approaching the librarian we learnt there is only one such book in the whole library, so somehow made her understand she has to wait her turn for the book. Whew!
Luckily, we managed to get a lift both ways, thanks to my friend S. These snow-walks with pram are not so much fun. I also missed my French class on Thursday and am was just so not-bothered, even to send an sms or e-mail to the Professor. That is very unlike me. I don't want to slip into my indifference mode as it is difficult to shake myself out of it. Let's see. Went for some sale shopping on Thursday, managed to break my Suppandi-stupor to buy something but was bone-tired by the end of it. I am in a self-actualized state of not needing anything much myself. And hopefully remain that way:)
Lil G has felt the brunt of the weather and is down with fever and cold. She (and I) had a disturbed sleep. She did not eat anything most of the day and has complained of stomach-ache. Towards the evening she has been more active, wanting to eat something. I have managed to persuade both the sisters to sit and play. Hopefully she gets better soon. I feel her cheeks have lost some baby fat already.
I am in a state of inertia again and wish I could get back my mojo in life. Not even the Blog Marathon, am extremely sorry all you guys participating in this one, is helping me much. I really hope it is only the dismal weather and some sun will make all the more difference.

Yes, the weather totally rules my life at times. Thanks ZM, lil G is much better now.
DeleteIt's not even snowing here, and I am feeling the listlessness again, too. Nothing seems to be interesting, nothing seems to be helping. I think I am just stressed out, and need a break desperately. :(
ReplyDeleteHope you and li'l G are better now!
Oh TGND, I wish things are better for you by the end of day. Sometimes if you try something different it helps. Hope you take a break soon.
