Fusion Recipe- Gujhiyas in Spring Roll Wrappers... Blogging Marathon Post 12
This is one recipe which came about by necessity. Normally, I make ghugras/gujhiyas every Diwali. Just before Diwali 2012, I had hurt myself when trying to remove the coconut pulp from its shell. Had to have stitches in my palm, felt foolish and helpless and the stuffing that I'd prepared for the gujhiyas rested in the fridge for a while.
It was then I thought of this easier way to use it up. And made these using spring roll wrappers. Nothing like the original, but not bad either.

Thanks, Renuji!

ReplyDeleteBut seriously, you make ghooghra!! I've never attempted it myself!! I used to help mom and grandmom in making it, but never gave much attention to the actual process. Should try now..
Yes, jugaad only:) I attempt it once a year and still am not perfect with it. The filling is tasty but have had hits and misses with the shell.
