Don't even ask-whataday...Blogging Marathon 2014 Post 25
I'm hoping it's not terribly impolite if I say I am waiting for this Blogathon to end. I mean, nobody asked me to take part in it, I jumped in. I'd done it last year too, and it was fun, it was a distraction for me then, some discipline and decent interaction I was in dire need of. Tell me you noticed the alliterations in the previous sentence :D.
This time, though I've less things on my agenda I am terribly disorganized with life. For instance today, Big G had her tennis lesson and then she was going to play at her friend's place. Ever since we were up, and since the last two weeks, she has been 'pako'ing me, for want of a better word on who will pick her up, what she plans to do there, what play-stuff she will carry, in which bag, what time would I come to pick her up, can I call L's Mama and get their address, and repeat repeat for logistics. Whew! I had to club the tennis run with the library and grocery shopping. This took a good two hours, with a slight deviation to check out some sales. I had to pick up my jacket from the drycleaners, and I had no currency and of course they did not accept cards. So lost precious time again driving to the Bank autotmaat.
When I reached home, the husband was waiting to drive out to the hardware store. I had some time to put away the stuff and cook lunch. I'd decided on noodles because I wanted to use some chopped cabbage. And ended up cutting a lot of vegetables for it, made two versions - spicy and spice-less for two different interest groups. Back in the store, I'd spent a good 5 minutes deciding on whether to buy chopped wok vegetables and decided against it, for that chopped cabbage's sake. By the time, the noodles were done it was almost time to set out to collect Big G. Did I tell you how our home feels so silent whenever one of the kids is not around?
So I checked the way on google maps, since I can't rely fully on the GPS, no, actually on my sense of direction. In the car, the GPS couldn't recognise their house number. I reached the area and I was lost, just couldn't locate the house, so called up L's Mama who said that the house is not traceable by GPS! Anyway, Big G had a good time with her friend, highlight of which was eating a doughnut!
Got back home and the husband and a colleague of his were busy chopping some logs into smaller pieces. Next week is predicted to be very cold. We ate a late lunch and the kids wanted me to read the library books. Soon it was tea-time and I made strong ginger tea for us all. After that, husband and me spent some time in piling the wood neatly and I swept two bags of tiny pieces and saw-dust. Chopping wood is extremely strenuous work, by the way.
Finally had time to sit on some work I need to finish by tomorrow and I'm meandering on that one. Now with dinner done while we were watching this very interesting program on Dynamo: Magician Impossible, I suddenly realized I'd been slacking on my post for today. 6 more days to go, yay!
In other news, my daughter now is aware of something called a blog! Getting braced for a volley again.

Whew!! You had some day!! Hope you will get some rest soon..
ReplyDeleteSo what did you tell Big G about your blog..
Sunday was the day of rest:) Big G is still processing the information, as she has not asked me too many questions. I told her it is a bit like writing an online journal, she has one, so she could relate.
