Makeover recipe...Blogging Marathon 2014 Post 30
I wanted to make sarson ka saag and makki ki roti. I prefer to make makki ki roti by rolling it out, and not by shaping it with fingers or the palm of my hand. Find that tough. Think I'd made the dough too soft that I couldn't even roll them out. I made normal thick rotis to go with the saag and put this dough away in the fridge. Not the same, I know, but this was a sarson-spinach combo I tried, where the sarson part comes out of a tin and the spinach is fresh.
Until the next day, inspiration struck. With a few additions like curds, onions, spinach, grated cabbage, grated ginger, some chopped green chillies, the dough was converted to a thalipeeth and this is what the end result was.
