Picture Post...Blogging Marathon 2014 Post 10
I wanted to make a handmade card for my daughter's birthday. Here's how it came out.
And here is the Princess cake I made for her, had been on my to-do for many years. Not a very neat job, I must say, but passable for a first attempt, the beaded crown was a make-shift job too. And I did not have pink colour for the gown.
And this is how it looks when lit up with candles.
P.S. - She loved it. Next time I will try the cake with a cream-cheese frosting.
Hey I loved the cake!! A complete princess pleaser :)
ReplyDeleteThanks ZM, that's a compliment, coming from a baking expert:)
Deleteeven I like personal touch in any celebration. Your card is quilted right?
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a quilled card!
Deletelovely cake and card both...hand made things are always special...
ReplyDeleteThanks Renuji! Agree, though they are heavy on time!
DeleteOh wow! That's creative --- both the card and the cake! I could never do either...
ReplyDeleteThanks, me too, till I actually did them:)
DeleteLove the cake!! It looks extremely fiddly and difficult to make/bake...:) Wow...
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delayed response, had missed this somehow! No, it it not difficult to bake, you should only have your frosting choice in place, and the aids to do that neatly.
