Randomness...Blogging Marathon 2014 Post 23

I can't think of a topic to write on today. Let me rephrase that, a topic which does not need too much work. So some random stuff it is.

  • Went for an evening walk yesterday, after ages. I loved being with myself, out of the house, no responsibilities, drinking in the fresh air in greedy gulps. The sky was starlit, and spotted the Orion constellation, one of the few I can identify. Felt at peace, felt small, humbled, full of wonder. Also peeped into houses as I walked by.
  • The reason I was out was the parents-teachers meeting at the kids' school. Both my kids are doing well, and their teachers gave them good reviews. I admire the dedication the teachers have for their jobs, I think one can't fake it or be a teacher just for the sake of being employed or something.
  • Had made baked falafels and relished them.
  • The mirror in my house lies. Today, whilst shopping, I tried on a trouser and almost screamed at my own reflection. Have been very slack. (tch! tch! and helping myself to some Turkish sweets my friend sent - looks like revadi)
  • Have again amassed a fine on library books. Must remember it is 3 week period here and not 1 month as earlier.
  • Watched a few Comedy Nights with Kapil  shows and am wondering why is Siddhu on the show? I don't like the humour there all the time. Do you like it or maybe my sense of humour is poor?
  • By mistake called one of the kids 'Stupidosaurus' in my impatience and immediately regretted it. Now it has spawned into a set of stories of a dinosaur called Stupidosaurus, well, they laugh at the stories all right, but I am not proud of myself at all!
  • Found  a pair of boots I fell in love at the first glance. A rare occurrence for me. My friend also loved them. Normally we end up buying the same pair of shoes, this time there was only one pair. She plans to order them online.
  • Wondering if I should write more stuff, but since nobody reads this space much, will not bother!
