Do a picture post!

Here is an old old pic of Big G and Lil G. This was the time when Big G would take away all of Lil G's toys, she was still in her jealous avtaar and was very slowly and a bit grudgingly beginning to accept her. Lil G sitting at a distance, watching elder sis play with her toy.


If I show this pic to Lil G, she'll say something like - It's my photo when I was a small baby with very little hair! Yes, we are a bit vain in these parts.

    Sweet pic! Its very bittersweet for me to see my kids pics of when they were younger or babies....very nostalgic though I was exhausted and cranky most of the time. But who remembers all the bad bits? :)

      Thanks Aparna, yes, I had totally forgotten the exhaustion bit of the early days. But it kept me on my feet!

    Very cute!! So what happened whe Big G took Li'l G's toys? Did the little one allow her bena to play peacefully?

      Lol, in this one she did I think. But she had learnt enough to make noise and protest too!

I realise I am inconsistent in lots of stuff and instead of my usual defensive spiel,  here is a quiet acceptance of that. May 2013 - The Elusive One

Think back to a month in your life. Do you remember any month or period specifically from the sweeping past or present? Maybe the month before the board exams, last month in the hostel eagerly awaiting to get back home, the month before you were getting hitched that was crammed with frantic shopping and plans on the side to run-away solo or when you were expecting your first baby, waiting for the moment and savoring the peace as you balance one of the last books you will read in peace on your tummy.. New Year Resolutions - Blogathon 2014 Post 1

Hello all! This is the first in the series of posts for the month of January, Blogathon initiative by Dreamy Mommy here . Today's prompt is New Year Resolutions. In fact, in my hastily scribbled end-of-year post I did touch briefly on this. In the last few years, I like to make resolutions or declarations, whichever, in writing. This is because in the course of steering one'e life through uncharted waters and all that, it is easy to land up someplace you simply did not intend going. My main compass-points for this year are - 1. Take one day at a time - each day is important, value it. 2. Move it, move it - So get moving in some way - a walk, a jog, yoga, dance... 3. Reflect before you speak and/or write. 4. Take responsibility for yourself and what you want to do, easy just does not do it. 5. Be thankful, be grateful, be positive and open-minded.
